TATERS & TREMORS 2004        Silverwo1.jpg (9158 bytes)

This was the group we had for TnT '04 at Silverwood.  It was quite a bit smaller than last year, but every bit as rowdy.  After enjoying the chilly, but sunny weather for the morning, we met up at 1 PM for lunch in the picnic pavilion.  Afterwards we rode some more rides and then from 7 to 8 PM we had Tremors and Timber Terror to ourselves.  By the end of the hour it was nearly pitch black and the coasters were flying over the tracks.  Some of us reported seeing sparks flying up from the wheels of Tremors.  Thanks to everyone who made it this year and to the people who backed out at the last minute, "Screw you!   We didn't need you there anyway!  Why don't you go $&%^ yourselves!?"   Sorry about that.
Here we have Aaron and Brian riding the Roaring Creek Log Ride.  Brian was too busy keeping track of his "tags" to have any fun on the ride.
At lunch time, some of the guys got involved in a kind of eating contest.  Several of the guys finished off a triple cheeseburger.  We played a game of Bingo and the Flaggs won the grandprize, a DVD copy of Tremors, the movie.

We spent quite a bit of money trying to get this Tasmanian Devil out of the Giant Crane game.  We never did get him, but we came close a few times.  Steve didn't ride the Skydiver.  What a wussy!

Aaron climbed inside one of the Battle Zone boats.  He didn't have a chance with all these guys gunning for him though.  Driving the boats was a lot tougher than it looks and the enemy here kept hitting the target on his boat disabling his cannon.  Oh well, next year.

Brian kept a running total of everything he rode all day.  He said it was a kind of "journal" of his day at the park.  On the right, he adds another mark next to Tiny Toot after his second ride of the day.

Micah and Tammie on the ferris wheel.  Everyone that rode the ferris wheel was impressed with how fast it went.   Actually, Tony wasn't all that impressed with it.  He's kind of a chicken.   At least he went on it though.  All Ed did was stand around and watch everyone else ride.
Tony and Clarisa rode Tremors for the first time early in the morning.  The park kept their onride photo up all day.  Later, I asked Tony if he was scared on the ride and he said no.  I'll let the photo speak for itself.  On the right, a train tears out of the gift shop.

Steve Martin came all the way from California to ride the Krazy Kars at Silverwood.  I hope he liked them.  On the right, Steve, Aaron, and Bryson braved the Thunder Canyon rapids ride.  It was about 55 degrees at the time of their ride.  Idiots!

Ah, Timber Terror.   Airtime goodness at its best.  Below is a view of the ride from the ferris wheel.  On the right is Brian and Aaron second from the back with Rebecca and Abby Lucas right behind them.
